Molasses & Honey Glazed Salmon

Molasses & Honey Glazed Salmon

This molasses and honey-glazed salmon is so delicious! Easy to prepare. Just follow the steps and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds of Atlantic Salmon
  • lemon pepper
  • 3-4 tbs of molasses
  • 2 tsp of honey
  • 1/2 tsp of water
  • pepper to taste
  • salt (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Remove the scales on the bottom side of the salmon.

Soak salmon in olive oil and lemon juice for 15 minutes. If time is limited, forgo 15 minutes of soaking.

Sprinkle lemon pepper on the salmon.

Put a little olive oil in bottom of pan. Enough to cover bottom. Sprinkle pepper on salmon (optional). Cook for about 5-6 minutes on med-high setting. May add salt for taste.

While the salmon is cooking, prepare the molasses and honey glaze. Pour in molasses, honey, 1/4 tsp of lemon pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (to taste…Keep in mind that it will give it a little pep!) Double the recipe of the glaze for extra servings to be used later.

Line a baking dish with aluminum foil. Place salmon in dish and brush or spoon on molasses and honey glaze. Place on middle rack and broil for about 5 minutes or until brown coating appears.

Remove from the dish and top with some of the remaining glaze. It’s probably a good idea to make extra molasses and honey glaze.

The molasses and honey-glazed salmon goes well with a salad on the side. Top salad with honey-mustard dressing which compliments both the salad and the broiled salmon. Tasty!

  1. Thanks for the recipe. I’m definitely going to try it out, and I already have some salad greens in my garden to round the dish out.
