Deck Makeover Reveal

Who doesn’t love a room or deck makeover! Throw in thrifty makeover and you can officially declare yourself a winner. My daughters and I have been doing makeovers at home since the summer began. It’s a great way to spend quality time with your kids. This is our second makeover and we decided to do the DECK. Our first one was a bedroom. Our makeovers involve thrifting and finding items that we can use to decorate the room without spending a lot of money. Yep! We’re all about saving! It’s the same concept as my blog…

So, I started a Facebook page titled (Sharon F Hodge) to showcase our projects. The projects are really fun to watch and see the transformation of a a room or deck come to life. So, enjoy the makeovers and tune in to see our other makeovers at https://www.facebook.com/sharonfhodge.

The cost for the deck makeover: $162. Below is a break down. Our budget was set for $200. So, I tried to buy the majority of the items needed for the deck at the thrift store. Quite a few of the items had to be painted so that it would blend well with the deck colors.

Please know that there is a lot of sewing going on in this makeover. The cost of the materials took up most of the @200 budget that was set for this makeover. I tried to use items that was already in my home to cut down on the cost, also.

Really, we normally don’t sit on the deck and rarely bring the furniture that we have out. Hoping this will get us on the deck more!
