Rehabbing My First Landbank Home

I purchased my first landbank home in Memphis, TennesseeĀ  The house is in terrible shape. You’re not allowed to see the inside of landbank homes before you purchase them. The house cost me $6,000. I love a great makeover and I love a great challenge. This is both! I was able to see the inside for the first time in July 2024. However, my family went in to see it in June after I purchased it and received the deed. The video below shows what they found in the house and how it looked after my brother cleaned it out.

It seems like I’ve got a job on my hands. However, I’m positive and see a lot of potential in this house.

Roof with Old Shingles Removed

Finally visited home and had the roof done in 1 day and 3 of the rooms fully gutted to begin the rehab process. The above pic shows a pic of the old shingles after being removed. It took 6 hours for the roof to be completed. Oh..did I forget to mention that this house is only 766 sqft. Stay tuned for the reveal of the new roof in the next video. I’ll also be updating regularly about the rehab process. So, follow along on the journey….
