These are super, delicious, crispy onion rings. They are quite simple to make and such a tasty snack. I fixed them today and they were gone in a few minutes. Here are the simple directions and ingredients needed to fix this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2-3 large yellow onions
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- dashes of hot sauce
- oil for deep frying
Directions:
Slice onion rings very thin.
Prepare breading mixture. Pour flour into large bowl.
Add milk to flour.
Add water.
Lightly beat an egg and pour into bowl.
Add seasoned salt.
Whisk ingredients.
Lastly, pour in Italian seasoning and a couple dashes of hot sauce.
Using a large bowl, pour in about 2 cups of water and add 1/4 cup of vinegar. Soak the onion for a few minutes. (Maybe 2-3 minutes) Remove from bowl.
Put onions into batter mix. Cover completely.
Place in hot oil. Let fry until golden brown. It took about 2-3 minutes for these onions rings. (Cooking times may vary slightly.)
Drain on paper towel. Dip into your favorite sauce. Enjoy!!
