Removing Permanent Marker From Concrete

If you find magic marker drawing or writing on your concrete steps, don’t panic….it can be removed.  A little child drew and wrote on my front steps and walkway.  Of course, I panicked. How in the world was I going to get magic marker out of the concrete?  Follow these steps and save yourself all the time and trials that I put in to remove it.

1. First, it is best to use dish detergent and water to scrub the markings.  It helps to loosen it up. Use a big brush to scrub the markings.

2. Second, pour fingernail polish remover over the markings. If it doesn’t come out completely the first time, continue to repeat steps 1 and 2 until it comes out completely.
