How To Save On Back To School Clothes At Old Navy

Wow! It’s back to school time already. Thank goodness my kids don’t start school until the end of August. That gives me a little time to finish up shopping and get everything in order. We’re still on vacation! However, vacation does mean that we get to shop while being away from home. I’m always on the lookout for a great sale. My kids know that if it costs more than $10, I have to think about it first before I buy it. Well, Old Navy comes into play here. They’re having a $10 and Under Back To School Sale! Fits right into my budget. It’s going on from August 1 through August 14. So, you’ll definitely want to hop on over and get your shopping on…. Don’t wait!

So, we headed out to Old Navy. There was one right around the corner from my brother’s house. Thank goodness we didn’t have to drive that far. We strolled in and headed right for the Girls’ section.

My daughter headed to the jeans. (I know she’s looking for the skinny jeans.) You can’t beat jeans for $10! She got two pairs of the skinny jeans. Then, we turned toward the other sections and started looking for shirts, shorts and dresses. We didn’t buy any shoes. She has enough of those. I told her ahead that when she tries on her selections that I want to take a pic of her in them in front of the Old Navy’s instore runway (board). Of course, it had to be at the front of the store. So, I had to coax her into leaving the dressing room and walking all the way toward the front to take her pictures. (Not, such an easy task.) I wish it had been near the back and close to the fitting room.

That child of mines is still looking for more things to add to her wardrobe. This is a true shopper. She knows how to look for deals. I’ve trained them well. There are a lot of neat things in this store. I didn’t even mention that there is a clearance rack, also. Yay! Clearance racks are my favorite. You can definitely find some deals for under $10 on it. She got the dress at the very top of this post for only $7.49. Perfect. When it gets cooler, she can throw a denim jacket on with the dress.

Of course, make sure while you’re strolling through the store that you check out the displays.

Now, when you’re finished shopping, find the instore runway to stand in front and take a pic of your child rocking their new back to school clothes. The runway will stay up until August 14th. More than likely, it will be at the front of the store. So, make sure that you take a photo of your child (between ages 6-12). Then, share it on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #MyOnStyle. Their pic may get a chance to appear on the http://www.oldnavy.com/myONstyle site. So cool! I’ve already checked out some of the pics on that site. That site will be live from 7/31 to 8/15. Go by and check out some of the pics that are already up on that site.

On top of that, Old Navy and Nickelodeon will be hosting a Multiply Your Style Sweet Sweepstakes with the stars of the Nickelodeon show, Sam and Cat. I’m sure your child probably watches that show. Minds definitely do. You might be the lucky one to win the prize which includes travel and hotel for four to LA, a $1,000 Old Navy shopping spree with the stars of Sam & Cat, as well as $500 in spending money when you’re in LA! To find the rules and details, just go to http://www.Nick.com/OldNavy.

So, what are you waiting for….get going to Old Navy. Don’t forget to take those super cool pics in front of the instore runway.

These are a couple of additional items that we picked up during our shopping trip. I wanted to take more pics of my child in these. However, I think I had come to the end of the road for her walking way up to the front. Still, you really do get a lot for your money. Everything I bought, including the clothes in the pics at the top of the post totaled under $60.00. Plus, she can mix and match those clothes to come up with several outfits. Not bad at all. Now, that’s what I call, “multiply your style”.

I fill like a winner when I leave a store feeling like I got my money’s worth! Have you finished your back to school shopping? If not, you better hurry to Old Navy before all the best deals have disappeared.

  1. Sales, bargains, shopping, cute clothes? You do know how to make me happy. =D

  2. I had the chance to take Sammie to Old Navy’s back to school event. It was fun! She got a outfit & rocked the runway. The just this past weekend we went back to school shopping & grabbed all the things she needed. We love Old Navy! Looks like your daughter got some great finds too! Next time we need to grab something for ourselves 😉

  3. It is good that you were able to find great bargains for your children. In Jamaica children go back to school in the first week of September. It is an expensive time even though children wear school uniforms here. All the very best to your children in the new school year Sharon.

    • Hi Judy! A lot the children wear uniforms here also. It depends on what school system your child attends. Still, school time is expensive either way.

  4. Look out old Navy, here we come!!! If I can get deals like the ones shown above, I’m bringing the whole family!!! Hopefully I can find a few outfits for myself, as well. I’m due for a shopping spree. Thanks a bunch, for the post. Saved me and my 3 grand-kids a lot of time from shopping around. I like great deals, and more than anything, a one-stop shopping spree…

    • I’m hitting Old Navy up when I get back to Maryland. They are sure to have tons of clearance items on their summer clothes. Perhaps, I’ll buy something for myself on the next shopping trip. Still trying to find a nice sundress….
